Turkey Apple Glazed Breast

This is a great recipe i have made this a couple times, and i was very pleased with the flavor of this dish. The sauce that goes with this dish really brings out the moisture in the turkey breast that makes you really enjoy every bite.

Ingredients:

  • Two Turkey Breast Cutlets; 4-6 OZ
  • 1/4 Cup of Apple Juice
  • One Clove Of Garlic; Minced
  • Two Teaspoons Of Fresh Tarragon; Minced
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Of Fresh Ginger; Grated
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Of Arrowroot Powder; Optional Ingredient

How you make the Sauce: You will need a small bowl, add the apple juice, chicken stock, garlic, tarragon and the ginger into the bowl and give it a stir.

Down To The Cooking: You will need to heat a heavy bottom skillet, over a high to medium heat until it is good and hot. Then you will add your extra virgin olive oil to your skillet. Make sure to add enough olive oil were your cutlets will not stick to your skillet. Next you will drizzle your turkey cutlets with salt, and pepper and sear them for 2 minutes on each side once this is done, remove them to a plate.

Next you will need to bring down the heat to a medium, then add the sauce that you have prepared to your skillet. Keep a eye on your sauce, when it has come to boil add the cutlets back to your skillet. Cook until your turkey cutlets are cooked through and through and your sauce has boiled down.

If you had decided to use the extra ingredient of Arrowroot Powder this is were you will use it. Dissolve the Arrowroot Powder in 1 Teaspoon of cold water add to the sauce and give it a whisk, and simmer until thickened.
